About Gemma Correll:
Gemma Correll has bad eyesight. Thanks to the wonders of spectacle technology, however, she manages to hold down a full-time job as a freelance cartoonist slash writer slash illustrator and bumps into things only occasionally.
Gemma is the author of several books, including “The Worrier’s Guide to Life”, “The Feminist Activity Book” and “A Pug’s Guide to Etiquette” and has illustrated various things for clients including Jetblue, Keurig and Hallmark. She publishes comics on The Nib and GoComics and also creates autobiographical diary comics. She is also responsible for that “Pugs Not Drugs” T-shirt design that you’re sick of seeing everywhere. Gemma is the proud owner of two pugs - Mr Pickles and Bella - as well as an impressive collection of plastic snowglobes. Originally from England, Gemma currently lives in Oakland, California.

About Pug Rescue of Austin:
Pug Rescue of Austin is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of abused, neglected and unwanted pugs. We do not discriminate on the basis of health or age. Our mission is to provide a safe, caring and humane refuge for abandoned pugs and to ensure quality adoptive homes.

We are a volunteer based organization with no paid staff. We rely solely on donations and fundraisers to cover the medical expenses of our rescue pugs.
